Itinerary
📅 Day 1: Kathmandu to Chitwan – Culture & Sunset
Your journey begins early in the morning from Kathmandu with a scenic drive (about 5–6 hours) through rivers, hills, and small towns. Upon arrival in Sauraha (the main tourist area of Chitwan), you’ll be welcomed at your hotel with a refreshing drink and lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll explore a traditional Tharu village to learn about the indigenous culture and lifestyle of the region. Later, head to the banks of the Rapti River to enjoy a peaceful sunset view.
In the evening, experience a lively Tharu cultural dance performance, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
📅 Day 2: Jungle Safari & Wildlife Experience 🐘
After breakfast, the day begins with a serene canoe ride along the Rapti River, where you can spot crocodiles and water birds. This is followed by a guided jungle walk, offering a closer look at the park’s flora and fauna.
You’ll also visit the elephant breeding center to learn about conservation efforts. After lunch, the highlight of the trip awaits — a jeep safari inside Chitwan National Park.
During the safari, you may encounter wildlife such as the one-horned rhinoceros, deer, monkeys, wild boar, and a wide variety of bird species. With luck, you might even spot the elusive Bengal tiger.
Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
📅 Day 3: Bird Watching & Return to Kathmandu 🐦
Wake up early for bird watching, one of Chitwan’s specialties, as the park is home to hundreds of bird species. After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kathmandu by tourist bus.
