Why Lumbini matters

Maya Devi Temple marks the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Buddha.

The Ashoka Pillar (3rd century BCE), erected by Emperor Ashoka of India, confirms Lumbini as Buddha’s birthplace.

The whole area is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

What you’ll see there

A peaceful Sacred Garden with ancient ruins and monasteries.

The Monastic Zone, where countries like Thailand, Japan, China, Myanmar, France, and Germany have built beautiful monasteries—each in its own architectural style.

Meditation centers and quiet walking paths—very calm, very grounding.

Cultural & spiritual vibe

Lumbini isn’t flashy or crowded like some pilgrimage sites. It’s serene, reflective, and international, drawing monks, pilgrims, and travelers from all over the world seeking peace and insight.
