In case you are curious, Jiri to Lukla distance is 49.8 km and Jiri to Namche Bazar distance is 52 km. The Jiri to Lukla trek itinerary goes through numerous villages and lush forests, crossing many small passes.
Jiri trek to Everest is a less conventional longer route perfect for travellers who can spend a long time on the trail. To make the trek more adventurous, we will take you to Gorgeous Gokyo Valley, where you can see stunning Gokyo Lakes and explore Gokyo villages. Our Jiri to Everest Base Camp trek itinerary also crosses two challenging passes of the Khumbu region- Cho La and Rejo La. The route to these passes is extremely difficult and involves ice walking.
Jiri trek to Everest gradually gains elevation. Therefore you will have a lot of time to acclimatize and observe the lifestyle of the mountain people. The fluttering colourful prayer flags, ancient monasteries, chortens, and mani walls along the way add life to the journey.
Upon reaching Lukla, you will follow the famous Everest Base Camp Trek itinerary. Trekking through lovely rhododendron, pine forests and ice-cold rivers, you will walk on glacial paths. Above EBC is Kala Patthar (5,545 m), which is famous for its marvellous sunrise and 360-degree views of Everest.
