Lumbini is a sacred town in southern Nepal, best known as the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama (Lord Buddha) around the 6th century BCE. It’s one of the four holiest sites in Buddhism (along with Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, and Kushinagar).
